Coke Is Adding Free Wi-Fi To Some Vending Machines

People in South Africa will soon be able to get more than just a refreshing bottle of Coke at the Coke machine. Coca-Cola has announced that they will be offering free Wi-Fi at some of their vending machines around South Africa. As of right now, their plan is to offer this free service in two South African towns, Qunu, Umtata, and Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga. They’re even making the deal sweeter thanks to the fact that you won’t even have to buy a Coke to get on the internet. So why are they doing this?
Evidently, Coca-Cola believes that offering the internet free of charge in that part of the world will have a positive effect on the area, especially in regards to education.  If this experiment proves to be successful, there are future plans to offer this service in other parts of the world, but for right now, they are focusing predominately on underdeveloped areas, which makes complete sense.
