Microsoft’s MSN Portal Will Now Feature A Tweet As Their Breaking News Banner

Twitter highlighted Microsoft’s MSN as an example of how Twitter can be integrated into any publisher’s website to enhance the experience for visitors by adding immediacy and interactivity into a webpage. MSN’s global web properties will now feature a Tweet as their breaking news banner. You can see how it will look like from the image above.
Over 425 million people visit MSN sites each month, I guess Twitter will get much exposure to the general public from this new experience.

Whether it’s LeBron James Tweeting his move to the Cleveland Cavaliers or breaking news from a trusted account on Twitter like the New York Times, MSN.com visitors will see news in the form of a Tweet.

Many of these Tweets will come from news organizations such as The New York Times (@nytimes), The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ), The Washington Post (@washingtonpost), @CNN@AOL in the U.S.; Yomiuri Shimbun (@Yomiuri_Online) and Asahi Shimbun (@asahi) in Japan; @SkyNews, The Guardian (@guardian) and The Telegraph (@Telegraph) in the UK; @NDTV and Hindustan Times (@htTweets) in India; and @Le_Figaro and Le Monde (@lemondefr) in France. Tweets may also come from news sources such as government accounts, celebrities, spokespeople or eyewitnesses to an event.
