Microsoft has revealed a number of new updates to the Windows Phone App Studio.
They revealed more than 50,000 apps which started there are now in the Windows Phone Store, which frankly to us is less than feared, and suggests the Windows Phone Store growth is not at least driven primarily by the free online app development service.
Microsoft has also revealed the service has more than 2 million registered users, which I think gives us an upper limit on the number of users in the Preview for Developers program.
New features in the update include:
Windows Phone 8.1 Sideloading
9 new languages added
New Page Layouts
Static Collections and Html
Data Bind in Design Time
PCL Improvements
