Microsoft to add storytelling app Sway to MS Office

Microsoft has been updating its Office apps for long, but this time they have a new addition. A preview version of a new storytelling app, Sway, is being rolled out by Microsoft for Microsoft Office.
Sway is another creative platform like the other in the Office, and turns the browser into a digital canvas where you can write text, add images, and videos. It is not limited to a single file type, or format, unlike Word, Excel or Powerpoint.

It is more like an automated storytelling template where you upload texts, photos, videos, GIFs or tables and using its algorithm it determines the best layout to present the information. After the information has been organized by the app, users can make tweaks like changing the colour theme or layout style, and rank items by importance to help the app emphasize the most important parts.

Sways can be shared with anyone via a web link, once created. It is optimized to whatever device it's opened on in a smartphone, tablet, or desktop. The preview version will be rolled out to iPhone and the web first, and eventually Sway will ne a universal app for iOS, web, Android, and Windows Phone.

Microsoft says that the timing of the rollout and the adding of more feature to the app will depend on feedback from early users.
