Microsoft Managed To Move 100,000 Units Of The Xbox One In China During Its Launch

As announced last week, Microsoft finally launched their Xbox One console earlier this week in China. Earlier this month, Microsoft delayed the launch of Xbox One console in China which was scheduled to happen on September 23rd. Today, it was reported that Microsoft’s midnight launch proved to be a success. From the total of 4,000 stores, particularly in major areas like Shanghai and Beijing, Microsoft and BesTV has managed to move 100,000 units of the Xbox One. Even thought it is not a high-volume number, it is a decent start in China where games consoles were banned for over a decade.
Even though the console was launched earlier this week, only 10 game titles are available to buy for the gamers. Microsoft is struggling to get popular Xbox One game titles such as Call of Duty, Destiny, etc for the Chinese customers because the regulators are wary of violent content. However, Microsoft has announced that over 70 game titles are in the works for Chinese gamers and these games will be released in the coming months.
