HTC has sent out invitations for an event on the 19th August in New York.
The company has not provided any clues to the identity of the device being launched, with rumours ranging from the Nexus 8 tablet to an HTC smartwatch.
The company is however known to be working on a high end Windows Phone which even Microsoft has teased as coming soon, so Windows Phone fans can cross our fingers for a new Taiwanese handset also.
Unfortunately the HTC One for Windows Phone is expected to be an Verizon exclusive, so most of us will have to rely on Nokia as usual for our Windows Phone fix.
