Microsoft first revealed SmartGlass in 2012 and since then the app has evolved a lot. With the launch of Xbox One SmartGlass, users were given the ability to control lots of their console functions from their mobile devices. Recently, Microsoft even added the ability to buy games from SmartGlass apps. To promote the usage of Xbox One SmartGlass app, Microsoft is running a sweepstakes where you can win a Microsoft Surface Pro 3, an Xbox One + Kinect, an Xbox Live Gold membership for decade* and more.
In addition to downloading Xbox One SmartGlass, you can increase your chance of winning by doing the following activities.
i. Connect the SmartGlass App to your Xbox One: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and instructions to connect the SmartGlass App to your Xbox One console.
ii. View your game progress for one (1) game: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and instructions to find a game you want to view in the App and click on the “details” button.
iii. Start a game or app on your Xbox One from your mobile device, tablet, or computer or other computing device using Windows 8: During the Promotion
Period, select a game or app through the SmartGlass App and click “Play on Xbox One.”
iv. Use OneGuide to add a favorite: During the Promotion Period, visit the One Guide and find a channel you would like to save and click “Add Favorite.”
v. Re–order your pins: During the Promotion Period: Select “Pins” from the main menu and drag a pin to the location that you want.
vi. View a friend’s profile: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and instructions to view a friend’s profile.
vii. Compare a friend’s game achievements and stats with your own: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and instructions to visit a friend’s profile and locate the “Achievements” tab to compare your achievements with your friend’s.
viii. Use search to find your favorite games, movies, TV, music or apps on Xbox One: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and instructions to use the search function.
ix. View a friend’s game clip: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and instructions to select your friend’s profile. Then follow the links to the Game Clips tab and select the clip that you would like to view.
x. View your progress against a specific game’s challenge: During the Promotion Period, follow the links and instructions to find a game that you would like to view. Then click on the “Details” button and follow the links to select a challenge that you want to view progress against.
