Over the last few months we have seem a massive profusion of new Windows Phone 8.1 OEMs, an now Microsoft has put a number on the number of OEMs and handsets.
According to Brandon LeBlanc, Senior Marketing Communication Manager at Microsoft, since the launch of their Qualcomm Reference Design, Microsoft has signed up 14 new OEMs, who have collectively announced 22 new handsets.
It is expected that most of these handsets will either have launched already, or in the next few weeks, leaving Windows Phone with its strongest line up yet for Q4 2014.
Hopefully we will see the number of devices, which all fall into the affordable category, translate into a significant increased in sales volume for Windows Phone also, after the OS hit a low of only 2.5% market share in Q2 2014.
