Acer today announced the new Aspire R13 Windows convertible. This R13 features a 13.3-inch, Gorilla Glass 3 covered display that is fixed on an Ezel Aero Hinge, which allows it to rotate 180 degrees and into six different positions. This works similar to the Aspire R7. Behind the gorilla glass is the stunning WQHD touchscreen with a 2560 x 1440p resolution(full 1080p HD display option also available) and support for optional Acer Active pen. Under the hood, it is powered by Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processor. You can opt for a full 1080p HD display if you’re looking for the slightly cheaper option. You can have storage up to 1TB in a RAID-0 configuration and up to 8GB of RAM. It also includes Dolby Digital Plus Home Theatre audio technology and Acer Purified Voice for better video call quality.
R13 will be released in October for $900 and up in European and followed by Asian availability in November for €900.
