Royal Caribbean International Announces Deployment Of 40,000 Windows Tablets For Thier Fleet

Royal Caribbean today announced that every shipboard employee in the Royal Caribbean International fleet will receive their own Windows tablet. That means a total of 40,000 Windows tablets will be deployed by them. They didn’t reveal what tablets will be deployed, but they said the device they selected is built by HEXA for Royal Caribbean. The device will be incredibly thin and light, which will accommodate the very active, very mobile lifestyle of its employees.
And the ship’s remarkable capabilities give the company an opportunity to make life better for crew members too, since Royal Caribbean will present every crew member on Quantum of the Seas with a free, personal Microsoft Windows tablet, with a suite of services and apps that is theirs to keep.  And as technology upgrades are made across the company’s fleet, every shipboard employee in the entire Royal Caribbean International fleet will also receive their own tablet – a total of 40,000 tablets.
