More than 3 years ago we reported that top medical reference app Epocrates was looking at creating a Windows Phone 7 app.
It seems that investigation has finally come to an end, as the company has now said on twitter that they are working on an app for Windows Phone.
In a 2014 survey of 3000 US physicians Manhattan Research found that Epocrates was the most popular medical reference application on smartphone and tablet devices among U.S. physician app users.
Windows Phone has a significant shortage of these vertical apps which precludes its use in a number of professions. Having the top app in the category will certainly do a lot at opening up the OS for healthcare use.
